Tap of the trough

It's often just enough to be with someone. I don't need to touch them. Not even talk. A feeling passes between you both. You're not alone.

A charming country home with style north of Copenhagen

One place we didn't visit on my travels, but is still very much on my travel wish list, is Copenhagen. I'm sure the architecture and shops would be right up my alley. Has anyone been to Copenhagen? What did you think?

The natural light in this home is great - also the architectural details like the radiator cover and top window pane.

I'm a sucker for detail shots :)

The look of all those books in the bedroom is really nice - but I'd be afraid I'd stay up too late each night reading.

This little spot in the yard is wonderfully wabi sabi no?

What do you think of this home? Close to your style?

Tee-crush

The other day I realized that I need a new set of comfy yet cute tees for my new jeans (any excuse is a good one...hahah). I am totally in love with those three above.
Would you wear any of them?

Kisses,
xoxoxo

Ps: I hope you all are having a wonderful last day of August....

l'automne arrive bientôt

Beautiful sunshine this morning, yet there is definitely that hard-to-define tinge of autumn in the air.  The light seems just a little sharper, the colours crisper, as if nature is preparing itself for the cold to come.

Took these shots early this morning out in the valley and in my garden.  Hope you enjoy them.

Renovated Basque Villa

This house in Guipúzcoa, a province in the Basque Country in Spain, was decorated by Iñaqui Mujika. I love the contrast between the dark grey walls and the white woodwork throughout the house. Elegant but not at all stuffy as some wood and wicker furniture and seagrass rugs were used in some rooms which soften and add warmth to the look.

Beautiful patterned tiles in the porch.

Rustic chairs made with logs.

Grey and white striped wallpaper in the foyer.

Mix of modern and antique furniture.

A wall with windows separates the living room from the dining room.

Rustic table and charis contrast with the modern lines of the kitchen. The doors of the island have benn painted black.

A change to all the grey with light blue and white striped wallpaper.

Nautical feel in the bathroom.

Full length mirror leaning against one of the walls of the light filled dresser.

Exposed kitchen storage

More and more I am seeing exposed kitchen storage. Which I love - so much fun to show off all of your wonderful dishes even if you are not using them! Easy to access and makes a great layered display.  Of course I like the pieces with all of the cream and white dishes as well as the French pieces.

What do you think? Yes or no?
