Parashoot

your self-perspective has become extrospective.
your happiness measured, by how you are perceived.
but when you wake and find yourself empty, misdirected
know that I'm here loving you, wilder than you ever believed
in the meantime I'm just watching you fly
i'll keep brushing by you, like the clouds, wondering why

you know - the feeling you get when you see someone sleeping in a very uncomfortable position. and you just want to help them, straighten their head a bit, see them relax, and then let them on their way. (that's the feeling*)

Never forget why you are loved. I was thrilled to come across this note to self, a comment on a blog somewhere out there in the world, sitting right beside me, 'The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can be. The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not twist them with our own image - otherwise, we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.'
