I have not posted in forever. We have not had any Internet connection for two weeks. AT&T had to rebuild our network connection, we have gone through four routers and they will be sending us a new modem.
I will recap whats-a-been-goin-on:
We celebrated hubby's birthday twice. Once on the actual day and a week or so later with family.
I gave hubby a hammock for his birthday. He really seems to like it. He is hard to buy gifts for; he never really asks for anything. He is a very simple person, I think he only owns four pairs of shoes.
We went to West Virgina for a family reunion. I almost died of heat exhaustion from running...seriously it was not a good thing. I did not even feel like I was getting too hot. If I could have a "do-over" for a day, I would have for that day for sure.
The furniture is KILLIN ME! I made a mistake, a costly mistake. I think the new sofa and chair are beautiful and super comfy, but not pet or people friendly. The fabric is too light. I can't just relax; I keep the sofa covered with a blanket unless someone comes over. The chair looks so dirty. I had it treated to repel stains, but I think that was useless.
Okay, seriously, I should be too embarrassed to put these pics on my blog, but this is how it is in my house. Every time I turn around, I catch our newest dog, Bode, laying in the chair or on the sofa. No matter how many times I catch him, he just does it again and again. These pics make my blood pressure soar! I really can't take it looking like this. I talked to Allison at UG about this and she suggested slipcovers and she made some beautiful fabric suggestions. I personally think the slipcovers would be a Pain-in-the-Ass. I would still have to remove them and wash them and wrestle them back on over and over again. I am now shopping for a new leather sofa. I do not know what to do with the sofa and chair I have now. I hate to invest more money into it. I definitely could not sell them for what we paid for them. I made a mistake.
Okay, this is enough catch-up for now. Have a great weekend.
