I hope that you have had the best day to start off your first 2011 work-week! Let's all try our best to keep this year positive.
I am sure lots of people worked on at home projects, organized a bit and made lists of what they want to tackle for the new year. Honestly, I did not accomplish as much on my holiday vacation as I had hoped. Instead, I pretended to be a vegetable and sat around a lot...umm meditating, yes that is it, I was meditating...a lot.
One project that I did finally complete was a photo wall in our house. I have been working on this on and off again for about three months, give or take. I just could not decide which pictures I wanted to use...procrastination....I could not decide which wall....procrastination....I could not decide what configuration I wanted the pictures to be displayed in...procrastination.
Finally, I decided that the hallway leading from our mudroom into the kitchen was the most perfect spot. I can add to the wall or change out the pictures in the future.
I bought some cheap gallery frames from Hobby Lobby, flipped over the paper inside the frame and taped the picture I wanted to display in the center. I like simple and clean looks.
If you follow tweets, I tweeted a few sneak peaks of a piece of artwork I am finishing for the breakfast nook. I am excited to actually accomplish a few projects that have been on my list for quite some time.
I am ordering a slipcover for the sofa and chair in the living room. Hopefully, I will have a fabric sample to look at soon. I also ordered carpet samples from FLOR. I would love to know if anyone reading this has a slipcover for the Rachel Sofa and how often the wash it and what kind of fabric they have. Also, I would love to hear from anyone who owns FLOR carpet tiles.
Lots to do this year!
