I will start with the bull...okay, this is what a small part of my Sunday looked like this weekend.
My husband stopped at a nearby farm to do a quick mend on a cow while these bulls decided to be curious about the truck. They were rubbing themselves against the bumper and licking the sides of the vehicle. The truck is white, so maybe they were confused and thought it was a big hefer. Hey, I sound like "Pioneer Woman"! Next, I will be writing a book and getting a show...Yippy:)
Alright, let's talk about design stuff.
I wanted a starburst mirror for a long time and I waited and waited until I just could not wait any longer. I thought that I had found just the right one. Let me go ahead and say, if you are reading this and you have this mirror, just stop reading or please promise not to hate me. I ordered my mirror from Ballard Design's, the Suzanne Kasler collection no less.
In my opinion, this mirror is very poorly made. I could not be more disappointed in the construction of this piece. I am not sure if you can see the detail of the gold rope trim, but it is not lined up, rather it overlaps and looks like a fused mess. It had two bad places in the trim detail and the finish just looked cheap.
I mailed this back as a return on Saturday. I am usually very happy with the items I have ordered from Ballard Design's, but this just was not one of them. Honestly, there is no way I would spend $100 on this mirror, maybe $20, but that would be my max on what this is worth.
Happy Monday!
