I have a "thing" for turtle shells. Since my first stay at The Tides hotel in Miami, I have wanted to add turtle shells to our decor in some way. The dining room was filled with shells to the ceiling.
I will be the first to say I much prefer a reproduction of a shell as opposed to the real thing unless the turtle was like a million years old and died of old age. In that case, I would proudly display the shell and tell guests about the amazing life of the old, old turtle.
This is a reproduction of a shell displayed on a stand, but sadly it is sold out. I like the colors of this one.
This grouping of shells is from an Urban Grace Interiors design.
I would prefer to have the brown tortoise color that I could display on a wall in a grouping of three. I like the organic look of the shells and the added dimension they can add to a space.

I certainly think this is an interesting ring I found on Etsy while on my search. Although this is unique and only $22.00, it is not what I had in mind:)

Does anyone have a source for turtle shell replicas?
