Magenta.

Pink is my favorite color!  I love pink!  But, can pink (or magenta) be successfully used in a home, especially one in which half the occupants are male?  I found some inspiration...
Without the mod magenta 70's inspired chair, this living room is sedate, traditional and serene.  The chair adds a big zING!  It brings the space up-to-date and adds a whole new level of excitement.  Surrounded by cool neutrals, magenta doesn't overpower the space, but adds that element of surprise.

A magenta wall may be more of a commitment than you're looking for, but this vibrant hue is cheery, inviting and energetic.  I can't figure out what is going on with those chairs (is that fur?)... but I'm pretty sure I don't like it!

Placed in an all-white room, shades of magenta and orange add an energetic and vibrant pop of color.  Varying the shades and patterns adds interest and depth.

A glossy magenta coffee table creates a focal point in this eclectic living room.  I'm not a fan of the artwork and the scale of the side table is way too small, but I love the daring mix of modern and traditional elements.

This Bohemian chic living room is filled with rich dynamic colors in varying finishes.  From a luxurious purple satin pillow to the shaggy saffron yellow pillow, there is hardly a surface that isn't covered with a bold hue with an intriguing texture (with the exception of the crisp white ceiling!).  They all harmoniously blend together, with the exclusion of the bright magenta coffee table.

The soft texture of the bold magenta sofas, along with the white neutral background, help tone it down.  I love the dazzling crystal chandelier set against the rugged ceiling treatment.

Magenta seems fitting for a pair of mod mid-century chairs.

Pink is a color with multiple meanings. Did you have a mood ring in the 70's like I did?  Believe it or not, they've made a comeback!  A pink mood ring typically signifies that the wearer is feeling calm, cool and rested. However, a bright pink color, such as magenta, means that the wearer is feeling loving, affectionate and happy.  Magenta, when added to these interiors, definitely added a happy vibe!
