Since the post about Misty Copeland, I secretly want to dress like a ballerina and those studded ballet slippers would be fun to wear! (Do it yourself directions here). Great twist on the classic look, don't you think? xo
P.S: Would you wear them on the street or just at home?
I'm always in awe of the talent and perseverance it takes to be a ballerina. My heart skips a beat each time I see those bent arches and pointy feet. So you can imagine my excitement when I came across those incredible photos of Misty Copeland's legs in NY Magazine. Rebecca did an article on the ever-inspiring, beautiful and truly versatile "unlikely-ballerina" as the world of ballet calls her! Darlings, have you done ballet before? xo
P.S: There is no question that ballet is incredibly beautiful and I'm madly in love with it but it can also be very brutal. Check out this video to see how much pressure they are under. I want to hug that little girl.
Beautiful little ballet girls from Enfants Vogue Paris. They look so graceful, don't you think? There is something innocent and serene about those photos. xoxo
Dears, are there things that enchant you every time you see them? The ballet world does that to me. I find this type of artistic expression so stimulating and relaxing at the same time. The way the ballerinas move, creating impressive shapes with their bodies and the pointy toes - just remarkable. It's a beautiful world!
I could look at those photos for hours. Have you done ballet as a child? xoxo
