Hi, dears! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. No rapture so we can go on with our house tours. A young family live in this bright, airy home in Spain. A soft palette and a blend of old and new with contemporary furniture and some French pieces make it interesting and relaxing.
I like the introduction to this article on French inspired design in the Australian site Homelife:
"When it comes to French decorating, less really is more... Be as disciplined as your inner French woman. Keep saying non to everything until you want to say oui. This way, you’ll be surrounded only by things you love."
Good Saturday morning! Today's tour takes us to Spain. A grand house with spacious rooms. Soft tones on a white background, French furniture, and lots of patina make it welcoming and relaxing.
Hope you enjoyed today's tour. Have a lovely weekend. I'll be back tomorrow to wish you a Happy Mother's Day! All images from here.
This house, located in a small village only an hour away from the centre of Paris, used to be a barn and was restored and transformed by Monique, owner of Pigwidgeon, a decorating company. She lives here with her husband and two sons. Every room is brimming with beautiful 18th century antiques and flea market finds. French an whimsical through and through.
