2010 HGTV Green Home

Did you watch the show?  I always look forward to the green homes and dream homes featured and built by HGTV.  This year's home is a 2200 sq.ft. New England farmhouse.

I love the wrap around porch, stone chimney, white picket fence, white exterior and mature trees.
The home features an observation tower with 360 degree views.  Inside the ceiling is painted blue to mimic the sky.  I think I would make this space my "blog room".  Just think of the all the ideas. Let's look inside...the living room looks like a great place to start.
Now, lets take a peek at the kitchen.  I do like the cabinets, I must say they remind of my own cabinets, except I do not like the island counter top.
I am not a fan of the red sparkly island counter, but I am a fan of the induction cook top, really nice!

The dining room is really laid back.  The table has a unique weathered finish with an artistic flair.  I like that they mixed the wicker chairs with the table.
Finally, I will show you some pics of the master bed and bath.
I like the four poster bed, I think it looks kinda cool.  I don't really prefer the red.

I do like the hanging lamps.  I love the horizontal stripe, but I think this looks more like a kid's room.

This bedding says, "Merry Christmas!"  I don't think I would like it all year long, maybe just November and December.
I don't really like this bathroom.  I do not like how the shower looks from this angle.  This reminds me of a Land's End shirt for some reason.

Overall, I liked the exterior, I didn't care for all the stairs.  I would be happy if I won, but I won't be too sad if I don't.  I think previous years have been better.  You can go to HGTV to check out the entire house, take tours and get product information.  Just go here, http://www.hgtv.com/green-home/index.html.
