Daydreaming

This morning I read this article in the NY Times about Paris and I can't help daydreaming about strolling down the little Parisian alleys, holding hands with Balazs and enjoying a coffee with nutella crepe in one of the little local bistros. Aww..what a dream! Darlings, what are you daydreaming about today? xoxo

Do You Like Limestone?

And iron work?
And casement windows?
And awesome stone work and detailing??

I am not wrong...
come along with me and look at this place.

Perfect Floors

I thought that this was a beautiful space-
so much so
that I didn't feel the need to post a room that has been decorated
and tweaked to my taste or to yours.

This is gorgeous naked.
NO?

And if you don't get to Paris much....
this is what is all around you.

Actually,
this is why you need to get out of the house more.....
and maybe get over there.

Yesterday was my birthday-
{i'll alert the media!!! hahahaha}
I should only age like this masterpiece of a building.

Sometimes-
well... almost always....
I think it is more interesting to look at an empty space
It is my blank canvas and I paint it in my head.

The Doors!

What can you see in this space?
I see a black grand piano

 Charles Aznavour
  singing
'SHE'
and pygmy date palms

in giant oriental fish bowls on stands.
I guess I am a romantic at heart.
Well.... where interiors are concerned anyway.
XXX's

I love him!!
This is one of my favorite songs by him.

Paris In Rain

How is it that Paris looks even more romantic in rain? This is probably the only city where I could embrace the rain. I would just jump into my flats, pin my hair in a messy bun and stroll along those quiet-rainy streets while holding one of those bright umbrellas! Don't you love the sound of rain? xoxo

Ps: Also, this morning Monica posted this Paris video. I promise you, after watching it, you will be more in love with this city than ever before. Fancy moving there right now? (giggle)

Paris, 1962

I'm in such a Parisian mood after swooning over these photos by Tom Palumbo. The whole series consists of images from Paris cafés and nightlife in 1962. They capture the essence of a different era, creating a mood of romance and intimacy. Loves, fancy a slice of Paris today? xoxo

I'm A Parisian Lady

A French photographer created a series called I'm a Parisian lady where he only photographed 100% born and raised Parisians and the results are incredible! For me, those photos not only represent each girl's personal style but also a way of life. Darlings, what do you think? xoxo

Paris After Dark

Smita went to Paris a few months ago and she recently posted these photos of this romantic city after dark. How special would it feel to take a walk through those lit little alleys right now? xoxo

Parisian Streets

Four beautiful women in Paris during fashion week. Cold weather never seems to phase a true fashionista. Leather blazers, chic little fur, amazing bags (did you see the second one?) and sky-high heels are the "it" thing this season!  I also love how Parisians can make an umbrella into a fashionable necessity. Dears, what do you think? xoxox

Paris

Good morning to everyone. I'm off to Paris in a couple of hours! Hubby and I will be visiting our daughter who is studying and living there. Sorry I won't be posting today as I still have a some things to do.

While I was packing I remembered an article in the New York Times featuring a flight attendant who demonstrated how to pack enough for a 10-day trip into a single standard carry-on. For those of us who don't like waiting for luggage at the carousel this is definitely a must read! Get these packing secrets right here.

I will try to post every day as usual while I'm away but if I can't make it I apologize and hope you understand.

Thanks to all of you!

Can't sleep........

Wondering what to do in the wee small hours of the morning so I thought i would share some more pics from our gorgeous little trip to Paris. I have been very selective not to include any of myself in my thick layers of black clothing or the other 2 girls as they made me vow not to do so. I can only say that 3 woman together in Paris, What a ball!!
Our lovely little apartment was right across the road from the Eiffel Tour
Flowers everywhere, add colour to the grey skies above. This was a sweet little flower shop in St Gemain
Had to take a photo of the metro sign outside of Invalides
We stopped off at cafe Marley for a warm cup of ceylon tea at the Louve
Looking out from our apartment
Laduree treats at Chateau Versaille
Walking across the bridge on our way back home from dinner at Ladureee on the Champs Elysee. Love watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour for 5 minutes
Inside our 2 bedroom apartment. Not too messy!
