Great giveaway for all you art lovers out there!

I have a really great and unique giveaway for you guys.  I haven’t held a giveaway since before I left for Spain, so I figured I’d make the return of the giveaways a really good one.

The giveaway is a chance to win a framed print of your choosing from the carefully curated print collection at Thumbtack Press.  Thumbtack Press is an “online art enclave that exists to create a community of like-minded art enthusiasts,” and features some really talented artists.  The focus is illustration, which is very near and dear to my heart, as I graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration in 2006.  I even recognized names of fellow RISD grads and professors on the Thumbtack Press artist roster!

The new owner personally curates the collection and looks forward to expanding to even more genres in the future. In fact, be sure you visit again in June when they will be launching a new and improved Thumbtack Press site.

To enter all you need to do is leave a comment on this post listing your favorite work/artist from the Thumbtack site (I really love the “Randomizer” feature which shows you an array of various artwork), and then make sure you “Like” Thumbtack Press on Facebook.  This is very important because they will be contacting the winner directly this way.  Click here to go to the Thumbtack Press Facebook page and “Like” them.

Below are a few works I really admired
“Born” by Gina Triplett
Ken Wong’s “Stay and I Will Love Thee”
I like anything octopus related..

Linzie Hunter’s  “Spam One-Liner’s: Happy Life”

“Amsterdam” by Matt Mills

“Tree of Joy” by Paul Barnes

Luis Melo’s “Empty Beach”

You have until May 31, 6 PM EST to enter.  Don’t forget to both comment on this post (scroll to the bottom of this post and right above "Labels" you will see a number followed by the word "comments." Click on the word "Comments." Or, you will see a link, "Post a Comment," which you click on to comment), andLike" Thumbtack Press on Facebook.  Good luck!

Color Inspiration for a Girl's Bedroom

Every little girl loves a fairy tale room full of pink and green and "girlie girl" things... Thank you Suzanne Shaia for sending me this photo of your daughter's room. It's simply adorable! Suzanne purchased three of my dress prints and popped them into white ready made frames. They make a wonderful arrangement above her white dresser.

Bridesmaids Luncheon Ideas ~ Dress Watercolor Prints

My friend, Cindy Spangler attended the wedding of her niece, Emily Gordon Spangler and Hunter Sinclair this past summer. The wedding was held in
Memphis and the bridesmaids luncheon was at a beautiful and elegant
restaurant on the water.
Bridesmaids Luncheon
The table decorations were made {to match the dresses in the watercolor prints} by the bride's cousin Kalee Hartman and her Mother, Sue. The table setting was so lovely and each guest received their own print to take home.
Bridesmaids Luncheon
The Bridesmaid luncheon was given by all the brides aunts on both sides and a good friend of the family. The fabulous luncheon was followed by a day of pampering for the bridesmaids.

Thank you Cindy for sending me these beautiful photos of the luncheon. It looks like it was a fabulous occasion enjoyed by all. Click here to view all my watercolor prints for your next occasion!

Show your home how much you love it!

Art is something one should never feel bad about buying. It is also one of the few things in life that appreciates in value - and who doesn't need a little bit of that! Nevertheless, not all of us are in the spot to make an investment right now, but these lovely works are affordable! And did I mention how pretty they are - and how perfect they would be for that spot on the wall?

Eve Simone's delicate prints are so nostalgic - they'd make me feel at home anywhere.

My favorite photo- I love the colors in the sky!

it's all you need

RIP Coney Island!!!

As you can see, they also fit into any decor style. Her stuff is being sold and boutiques and galleries in NYC and Cali, but you can get your own at her Etsy shop.

Aren't these hand painted plaques adorable! They'd be perfect in a nursery. too cute! Visit sweet little dear's shop

Aren't these the prettiest prints? I don't know which one to pick!! I especially love them in the natural wood frames. Go to yumiyumi's shop to see a lot more!
